Tuesday Funnies

Today is a VERY blustery day here. (We're talking 50 mph wind gusts.) Alyssa said, "The poor trees are getting remodeled." I guess that's one way to put it. Alyssa and Halle have both been very concerned about the poor little birds that seem suspended in air.

Also today, we went to Home Depot (to TRY to find garden seeds, but the entire town is out; we're feeling rather defeated). Carter said as we pulled in the parking lot, "I want to pet the chickens!" I told him that there weren't chickens at this store so he said, "But remember, they have farms."

Me- "Farms? What are you talking about?"

Carter- "Those red farms!"

Me- "Do you mean those bully barns?"

Carter- "Yeah, I want to pet the cows too."

(For those of you who might not know what a bully barn is, I put a photo up (although it's not a red one) for educational purposes. ;) )

Okay, okay, I know I originated in CA, but seriously, what the heck is a "bully barn"?

I wanted to get and laugh at the joke, but I'm too stupid!! :( I don't get it!!

You're almost funnier than the joke is!! I'll post a picture. It's just a shed that looks like a little barn. I know you know what they are.

Phew! I DO know what they are. I just didn't know that's what they were called... I thought they were called "Mini Sheds for City Folk." :)

That is hilarious! Aren't you glad when we are able to figure out what they are talking about - think of all the things we do miss by not having the "right" conversation!

Don't animals just come standard with those things:)

Everyone is out of plants here too. Crazy!

Maybe there really are cows in some of those?! :)

That's so funny! My kids went through farm and barn confusion, also. I guess we should start enunciating better.

I actually had one in my yard, painted bright red and loved it. Bully Barn huh? Is that where you put the kids when they are being a bully? Puts a whole new meaning on the term time out shed!
