Updates

Good news, I finally talked to Bailey's mom. (I wasn't trying to avoid her, our schedules were just off and we kept missing each other's phone calls.) Anyway, we won't know for sure until 2 weeks when the teeth get looked at again, but so far it doesn't look like there was damage to the nerves. (Two little 9 year olds DIDN'T know what they were talking about. Hallelujah!) However, the way it is chipped, they don't think they'll be able to fill it (b/c it will just fall out) and if they grind the teeth down, they'll look too short. The last option is root canal, crown, ya-da ya-da (I don't even want to go there.) So, I guess this is bittersweet news. Now, we just wait for the two weeks to pass.

And no, I didn't get the tree done. I'm going to go do that right now! And we didn't get the girls in their rooms last night. Instead we went to Shopko and bought them new furniture and we're still trying to put it all together. It was either get one nice bed or two full bedroom sets of not so nice stuff for the same price, so we chose the latter and hope it will all stay together. It's actually pretty cute stuff. (A picture will come when we're done, later today.)

Last but not least, a picture for you. Halle's pretend earrings. She taped beads from a broken necklace to her earlobes. This girl wants her ears pierced so bad its killing her. But I am sticking to my guns and making her wait until she's 8 like I did Alyssa.

Good for you on the earrings girl! Stick to your guns! My mom was going to make me wait till I was 8 too, and when I was 7 my older sister took me and had them done. As if that wasn't bad enough, when I was 9 she took me to have them double pierced, and then triple pierced when I was 13.
My mom was not very happy (and by the time I left college I had six holes and all the scars left to prove it!!!)

Can't wait to see the finished basement! How exciting to almost be done!

We'll keep our fingers crossed on the Bailey situation.

Glad for the teeth situation-Hopefully it will be good news soon!! I love the earrings-what a creative little girl. I ask Ally all the time if she wants her ears pierced and she always refuses-it's not ever even a question, she absolutely does NOT want her ears pierced!! Very funny! Can't wait to see the bedrooms!

Oh, Elena! What a rough couple of days! I'm so sorry to hear about the teeth--but glad you got the conversation overwith. I sure hope it doesn't require too much work. I have a chipped tooth--thanks to a brother who will remain nameless :)--. They just filled it and it's been no big deal. But, it was only one tooth and only a little off the corner. Anyway. . .if the filling falls off, that same brother will be able to fix it by 2010! :)

Can't wait to see your new furniture. How fun!

I'm not exactly sure what my holiday schedule is other than we will be there by the 22nd, but that day is taken. I'm hoping to come Thursday or Friday, but haven't really checked it out with Lou's schedule. We'll probably stay through the New Year!

Wow! Things are way too exciting over there. Halle's earring are so creative. If I had your family for Christmas I would get Halle some cute clip-ons.
