Blurb Makes Me Sad

I am so sad that my beloved blurb.com is no longer compatible with blogger. I just received my 3rd blog book in the mail today (Yes Miki, Fed Ex FINALLY found me!) and I was so excited to get going on my next one to finish up 2007. When I tried to download my blog I got an error. I had to dig a little and finally discovered that something with an API code from blogger wasn't stable enough for blurb to work with. (It's somewhat of a foreign language to me.) But I am angry at both blogger and blurb.
FIGURE IT OUT PEOPLE!!! I need hard copies of my blog!

I know I can still cut and paste and get it done, but can you even imagine how long that will take? Arggghhh..

Tell me about it, I'm so sad. I found a note in a forum that said the problem was "indefinite". Whatever that means. I also read somewhere else got it to work by uninstalling the latest version and reinstalling the older version. I'll need Jarom's help for that so I haven't tried it yet. I'm praying it works!

RATS!!! I just discovered Blurb and now it doesn't work with our blogs!?

PLEASE PLEASE keep us updated on this. I was really looking forward to having access to a hard copy book for blogs.

Waaah. :-(

Not cool! I've been holding off till Russ gets a "real" job so we can afford it. Now I can't! :( Maybe if we flood them with comments, they will fix it! I mean there has to be a lot of bloggers out there using this program, right?!

Cut and paste are you kidding?! Yes, I know how long it takes and I gave up. Now I'm really mad too! I was just making time to finish my book. If you figure out another way, or another site. PLEASE tell me. I need hard copies too. Good luck.

If you already have your book uploaded and started you will be fine. It will still print for you, it just can't upload new posts. And I can't imagine them not figuring out how to make this work. So many people want to do it. It's just nuts.

I had just heard of this company a few months ago. I was really looking forward to trying this. The whole idea of not having to scrapbook it...bliss.

Some tech geek somewhere has the solution. We just need to make sure that the introductions are made!

WHAT?!#@! I just loaded BLURB about two weeks ago and was getting all geared up to start my book. What the heck?~!@# I'll have to check back and see what you've found out. Or start hounding them myself.

LOL!!!! OH, it's so fun to read all of you furious commenter buddies go CRAZY bloggy mad!!! LOL....I wish Blurb could read the comments JUST on this one blog. Maybe they would see the passion and figure something out! QUICK!!!

I must admit, I was really thinking that my blog had more of a purpose than just mindless chatter. I was gearing it around those blurb books to a degree. The idea of keeping a journal through blogging is just so awesome. Dang blurb....but I obviously wasn't as invested as some of you ladies!!!!

lol...SO funny all of you are. I'm sorry I'm so truly entertained by all of the spouting comments.

I, too, have been trying for months to get it to work for me, but it never has before, and now I'll know to quit trying. I hope somebody out there figures it out because then I'll know I'm wasting time on the computer, and I just can't have that!

Elena,

I've been playing around with the blog.slowdayatwork.com template and found that the new blogger templates are all done in a new language.

You might try converting your template back to a classic blogger template and uploading it. I don't know if that would work, but it might be worth a shot. Just make sure you save the old template before you convert back to classic blogger.

Once you are done convert back to the new blogger template and upload your saved template.
