Down Town

Today the little kids and I joined Jarom for lunch at a local joint called Hot Diggety Dog. (Seriously a dive, but great food.) Anyway, we were driving through the old down town part of the city and Carter said, "HEY! We're in upside down town."

I'm so glad you have a record of all the funny stuff Carter says! You'll need it as a tool to humble when he's a know-it-all teenager :)!

Speaking of dives, did you guys ever eat at Donnie Mac's here? It's on either Main or Idaho. Anyway it's called "Trailer Park Cuisine"--and it's actually this little diner, that's chic in a purposeful trailer-park kind of way, and they serve mac and cheese, franks and beans, pop in mason jars--you know, trailer stuff :)! Kind of fun! Your hot dog place just reminded me of it!

Too cute! It was nice to get a comment from you on my blog. You never did say if you know Michelle Ross though. Do you???

Jennifer- Yes, I love to have a journal of all the fun things my kids have said. I have actual hand written ones for the girls, but that was in the dinosaur era. So all my "kids funnies" are really just for my personal journal. No we never ate at Donnie Mac's, but it sounds right up our alley. (You know we're the experts on trailer stuff.) Seems like the dives are the best places to eat.

BTW, Emily Loria, if you read this, you really need to eat at Bodacious BBQ (if you never have). The pulled pork sandwich and bbq beans are good enough to make me want to come back to TX just for them!! (Of course we ate from the one in Kelsey, TX, but I hear there is one in Dallas too.)

Brynne, so fun to have you peeking in once a while. Check my "I made it" blog for the answer to your question. :)

It's sooo fun to look back on all the cute things our kids say.

About Picasa....girlfriend! There is a big button on the left that says CROP. Once you push it, it's self explanatory. Your original pic is always there, you just won't see it. If you crop it, change the color, redeye, straighten or anything and you don't like it, you just click undo. "I'm feeling Lucky" button is an auto light thing. I always try it first, but sometimes I don't like it. Slide the "fill light" to lighten dark pictures. Just don't be afraid to play around with your pic because the original is always there. Just remember the undo. Let me know if you get some things to work. This really is a GREAT program for those of us who wouldn't know where to begin with photoshop.

Thanks for the tutorial Lee Ann. I guess I just need to get a little more brave. (And look a little more closely. HA!) I'll give it a whirl.
