Halle's Baptism

Halle was baptized on Saturday, Dec. 6. She has been so looking forward to this day and understands the importance and significance of her baptism. It was held on a stake level so another ward took care of speakers and music. All we had to do was show up on time, pick out her white clothes, and get her baptized. It was all very nice.

Aunt Mimi came early and did Halle's hair so pretty. I think Halle looked like a little angel or princess.

Wearing her pretty new dress.

Wearing the cute little white dress to be baptized in. Doesn't she just look beautiful? She's such a teeny little thing, but looked and acted so grown up. I was so proud to be her mom.

Daddy and Halle getting ready.

What a wonderful day. I am so thankful that Halle knows that her Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ love her and want her to return to live with them again someday. Afterwards all the extended family came to our home to celebrate by eating the lunch and dessert of Halle's choice. She wanted potato soup and apple dumplings. It was the perfect ending to such a neat event. She has been on cloud nine ever since; she sure felt special and loved on her very important day. I love you Halle!

you ARE a blessed mom....i'm a few years off from that one...but still teary-eyed when i think about it. we've told our son that when he gets baptized, mom and dad will take him to the conference center to see the prophet at conference---he's pretty excited about that one.

How special. You've really captured the day in words and in pictures. We also were at our sweet little neice's baptism on Saturday. This little girl's had a rough life, and everyone kept talking about how she GLOWED after her baptism! We took her ice skating later that afternoon. It was such a happy day.

Makes me glad to think that you and your were having a similar happy day that day too! Congrads, Halle, and Elena -- this is what they call a "Mommy payday".

She does look like a little angel! Her eyes are so sparkly and happy. What a sweet girl...and just Gehrig's age. Hmmmm....(: (okay, a little too soon for the matchmaking, but you can't say that you and Angela haven't at least thought of it!)

Oh, congratulations to little Halle! My Mayzie turns 8 next month. I can't believe it.

You know, I've never had apple dumplings. Maybe I'll give them a try in Halle's honor! :)

Awwwww....little Halle. She DID look just like a princess.

I like what she chose to eat. I like that I know that her mommy knows a gazillion recipes, and it was neat for me to think that Halle chose from among those her favorite.

Congratulations Halle. Being baptised has brought me much peace in my life. I hope the same for you.
