Yes, that's right. I am 31 years old today. I am not one to be ashamed of my age and I thoroughly enjoy my birthdays. This year was no exception. Because of Jarom being gone, Alyssa took it upon herself to throw me a big day!! I have had many phone calls and emails, gifts, a dinner from my mom, and even my own dedicated entry on Becky's blog. It has been a really fun day. I am trying to figure out how to use google video to post the videos Alyssa took. They are HILARIOUS (and she really wants her dad to see them). So as soon as I get that worked up they will be posted. For now, here are a few highlights.
Sunday evening, January 14th:
My mom made dinner (Chicken Broccoli, one of my favorites) Sunday night for my Dad and me since his birthday is only 3 days before mine. Here we are sharing our cake. And yes, that is a blow torch my dad is using to light the candles. That's my dad for you!
Monday Morning, January 15th:
A phone call from Jarom and breakfast in bed, made by my kids and my mother-in-law. Alyssa conned Grandma into coming over at 7:30 in the morning, decorating the house (birthday fairy found me!), and making me a pancake breakfast. What a nice way to start out the day.
After dance rehearsal and recital for my girls (I'll post those later), a few people came back to my house and enjoyed Cold Stone Creamery Strawberry Passion cake! Again, a choice made by my girls. Grandma tried to make some other suggestions of cake flavor, but once they saw a strawberry cake, there was no turning back.

Present time! I had 4 gifts on the table. One from each of my kids.
I recieved 4 different sizes of spatulas! (One to spank each kid with. :) ) I love my kids! They, along with everyone else, made my birthday great. Thanks a lot everyone!!

Looks like an awesome birthday! I don't even get breakfast in bed on my birthday (even when my husband is home)! (; I loved hearing from mom all the birthday planning that Alyssa had done. How sweet!
What darling kids you have! You've taught them well!! :) There's a bonus for having girls, eh?! :) I love the picture of you are your dad blowing out the candles! So cute!

Since the new blogger, it seems like Google applications have a harder time posting to blogs. Here's my suggestion: on Google video, instead of selecting to post to your Blogger blog, select "Embed HTML". You should be able to select a bunch of code and press ctrl+C to copy it, then open a new post and ctrl+v to paste it. Good luck-- I'll check your blog to see if it works! :)
