Clogged Toilets

While we're talking about toilet mishaps, I should share our worst clogged toilet story ever.

One evening about 2 or 3 months ago, someone clogged the toilet (pictured in the post below) with something that absolutely would not budge. (Oh, and might I add the toilet had been used. Mmmmmmm...) It was almost 11 pm and Jarom had tried and tried with the plunger and the snake thing, but it was a no go. So Jarom left to the store to get a better plunger or something with more power.

He came home with a bazooka powered compressed air thingy. It had little canisters of compressed air that SHOT down the toilet to dislodge things. Anyway, I need to also say that he and I had been arguing a bit that day. Nothing major, but we were both a little miffed at each other and this was just the icing on the cake. He told me that he was going to need my help.

My job was to hold the "splash guard" firmly on the toilet while he blasted the air off. I had to kneel down by the toilet and hold a piece of plastic on as best I could. (You know it's going to be bad when there's a splash guard involved.) I facetiously asked him if he was making me do this because he was mad at me. :)

Anyway, I knelt down, he blasted and dirty poopy water sprayed EVERYWHERE!!!! It hit me in the face, it hit my walls, it hit the ceiling.....yeah, great splash guard. But, whatever was clogging the toilet didn't stand a chance against the toilet bazooka gun! But beware, you need a full on wet suit if you ever use one.

That is the grossest story yet! But I do the love toliet bubbles picture. Never experienced that one! Spring cleaning definately! And you got it done early too- see you're more organized than you think.

That is hilarious - I'm laughing so hard I can hardly type! You just made my day!

Oh what we do as parents. Did you ever think? And the fact that you were miffed at each other before it all began. Can married life get any better? You hear about make-up s**, but make-up unclogging a toilet....no one ever tells you about those things.

That is awesome! Too bad you don't have a photo you can post of that one! :)

p.s. why does your household have so many toilet issues?

Glad you can all laugh at my expense! Just kidding, it's a pretty good story and I knew you'd all get a kick out of it. And one that I really did need to get written down.

Lee Ann- You are FUNNY! Maybe we should write a book on ways to make up in marriage.

Fur- BECAUSE I HAVE SO MANY FLIPPIN' KIDS!!!! (and I love them)

You are too dang funny! I was laughing long before you finished the story. You have a great "set up" into a story. I'm not kidding, you need to save all this stuff and then compile it when life slows down (will it ever?). You could help overwhelmed moms see the humor in the crazyness that comes with multiple children!

OHhhhhhhh........NO NO NO! Ehll. I think I hate this story. :)

I just think I would not be as gracious as you were after the whole incident. I know I would be sooo stunned, I would say to myself, "I can't believe this happened TO MEEE!!"

Oh Elena....next time Jarom can be the one holding the shield!

Claudia- Will it really help them or just make them even more firghtened of what is to come? :)

Miki- Don't worry he got splashed too. It went everywhere! Have I not told you this story before? I can't believe I've left it out.

Emily- It's a first rate story for sure, but the bathroom got a nice scrub afterwords. Guess it was good for something.

Your toilet stories have totally healed me. Man I needed some good laughter! Our toilet clogs like every other day around here--but I think it was the previous owners fault. Thus far in our lives no one has flushed anything down a toilet--though there was the daring rescue of my cell phone once. Knock on wood!!!

Oh my gosh - I am cracking up! After my experience with the toilet yesterday I think I would have cried and possibly even cussed if I blew it up and the "brown stuff" went everywhere.

I am so glad now that the snake worked.

Thanks for the laugh!
