Saturday Sledding Fun

A couple of Saturdays ago, we braved the cold and the wind and took the kids sledding for a short while.

They loved being sling-shot down the hill by dad. They'd spin circles the whole way down. I'm sure I would have barfed had I tried that.

Hang on the those sleds Halle! Did I mention it was windy?Man it was windy and cold and miserable. But the kids didn't mind one bit. I, on the other hand, am a wimp and I've decided, officially old. For some reason I could only find enough hats for the kids, so I wrapped a scarf around my head, tied it under my chin, and didn't care one iota about my Bob Cratchitt appearance. That's the part that let me know I was old. I just didn't care how I looked, I wanted to be warm. (Side note: Check out poor little Kate trying her best to get back up the hill.)

Good times were had by all.

I think the Cratchitt look could catch on with the over 30 crowd - LOL!!
I am with you though - I like to be warm and I am SO jealous of all your snow and a nearby sledding hill.
The kids all look so cute - especially the little eskimo all wrapped up in pink :D

Cherie had my exact thought. I was going to write, "Who is that cute little Eskimo in the pink coat?"

How fun! We still need to take Eli sledding! He doesn't know what he is missing yet. Love the snow angel pic!

I just cannot relate. And here is something you can't relate to -- Stone Mountain park creates snow. And they have "Snow" mountain for a few months of the year. It costs $25 a person to go sledding on their hill for 2 hours. Yeah...we don't go either!

I don't even remember the last time I went sledding, how sad is that?! What a great family outing!

We don't go sledding anymore. Thanks to Katie's accident it is scratched off her "fun things to do in winter" list. Guess I can't blame her.

Looks like you guys had tons of fun. :-) Cute pictures, as always!
