With fall comes football. In particular BYU football. So of course, we had a BYU football party at our house on Saturday. We had a houseful, which always makes it more fun. AND BYU creamed UCLA, (59 - 0) which always makes for more pleasant husbands.
The party was going great, BYU was winning, food was being enjoyed, kids were playing contentedly, and the company was pleasant. Then all at the same time my nephew started throwing up, Kate got stung by a bee, one baby got a stinky diaper, and the neighbor boy (not so used to the rough playing of the rat pack (aka Carter, Ogden, and Owen) ) got whomped on the head and ran home bawling. Whew.....it made for quite the chaos for a few minutes.
Other than those incidents we had a fun time. (Sorry you had to leave early Becky and Kevin.)
Go BYU!
I just couldn't resist this cute little picture of my nephew Truman sitting so happy and content in the bean bag. What a little cutie!

I am tired! Look at all that you did. Michael loves to watch football. He sometimes watches here. Sometimes goes out to a restaurant to watch with friends. But me...meh...not really interested!
I'm with you Kat. I just go for the friends and food. And an occasional cheer if something really exciting is going on in the game.
Sounds like MY house when BYU plays (or Boise State, or Denver...the list could go on forever)! I opted to go shopping yesterday instead and I think that the majority of people were home watching the games because it was actually not too crowded! I enjoyed myself and of course, my hubby enjoyed himself (with all the kiddos:)
i didn't get to see truman awake. what a cutie! and sorry that we put such a large damper on things. nothing worse than a puking kid. it was fun while it lasted though!
ps i like your "what's on the menu?" thing on your side bar. how clever.
That sounds like exhausting fun :-) Then again, it seems like fun with children is usually exhausting.
LOL!!!! Everything is always like that it seems. It runs smoothly, and "not so smoothly" all at the same time.
and BYU??? WHAT?? If you were rooting for the OTHER POOR team, you were just hanging your head in embarrassment for sure, because it got BONKED! BAD! Oh man...
The DUCKS won in double overtime against their foes, and I MISSED IT!!! I watched it until the third quarter, and then had to go prepare for something. You can never know what to expect when the Ducks are playing. They always seem to pull out miracles from nowhere. GO MIKE BILLOTTI!
Ugh, I had typed such a better message before this one, and it got erased due to my "oh so excellent computer skills". ARGH. Sorry if things seemed not to make sense this time..
I have been wearing just blue lately on game days---unsure if i"m going to support BSU or BYU this year. They both look to have a good season ahead of them. Such confliction :)....
What a (mostly!) great party! THat little Truman IS a cutie!
And I loved your 7 posts thing too, but there were 7 comments there, and that seemed so fitting, I didn't want to mess it up by making it 8. Funny that most of the things you can't do---I can. THAT'S what makes the world so wonderful, isn't it ;)?! I can't throw a party worth beans....and you CAN! And the whole singing thing---you got it! :)
That was so incoherent I hope you're getting the just of it. Now I'm sounding like Miki---and only Miki would appreciate that ;)!
In this picture, little Truman reminds me of his Aunt Melissa.
What a great weekend. And BYU - wahoo.....!
That picture of Truman reminded me of my little guy, so chubby and now so long and lean and grown up.
What a great game and party! And that kid is so cute, he must get that from his mother!!
I heard that UCLA hasn't lost THAT bad since 1929! Glad BYU's off to a good start!
Glad you had fun IN SPITE of the daily traumas that come with children! :)
lol....just read your comment Jennifer P.!
;)
Wasn't that game just so boring, though? :)
Go UTES!
Parties are so fun, even if you're cheering for the wrong team. You guys always have so much fun!! Maybe we should move to Idaho? :)
