Two Thumbs Up and an Interview

The men are going snow cave camping tonight, so the women took the opportunity last night for a girls night out. We watched The Secret Life of Bees. Oh it was so well done! I was shocked at how much I like it. I highly recommend. I read the book shortly after my southern Granny passed away, and although the story deals with a lot of sorrow, I fell in love with it. The southern sarcastic humor was so fun for me to read. The movie doesn't have as much of that in it as I was hoping, but the cast was amazing. That little Dakota Fanning...wow, that girl can act. Everyone in the show did well.

And now, I must answer these questions from the tag I signed up to do over at Gina's place a little while ago.

1) What is your favorite comfort food, and what is your strongest memory tied to it? Biscuits and Gravy for sure. With my mom's homemade bacon gravy. I don't really have a particular memory tied to it, its just childhood wrapped up on a plate for me.

2) When you are having a "bad mom day" what is your escape? Well since I usually can't leave the kids alone, I load them up into the truck, turn on a movie, go to a restaurant with a drive-thru, and sit in the parking lot and enjoy my food while my kids are strapped in and somewhat happy (well at least strapped in and can't touch each other or make a mess).

3) If you had one "do-over" in your life, what would it be? Hmmm...this is tough. I'm going to go with my college experience. And while it definitely had good times, I wish I would have enjoyed it a little more. I also wish I would have had more confidence in myself at that time of life.

4) If money were no object, I would enrich my life by.... Definitely a personal 24 hour chef. I could lose so much weight if someone just provided me with the proper things to eat at the proper time of day. It's making the stuff myself that's hard. It's much easier to grab a cookie off the counter. :)

5) We all have things we dislike, even hate, about our selves. What is the thing that you LOVE the best about yourself? I love my laugh, and I love to laugh.

Now I would love to interview you and you and you. So here is what you do. Come on now, don't be shy. I will be nice I promise. It is a great way to get to know you. Besides its great way to have something to blog about when you're in a rut.

1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by emailing you five questions. (I get to pick the questions).
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions. So come on, let the good times roll!!

I had a group of friends over last night and we also watched "The Secret Life of Bees'. We LOVED it!

We had all read the book and when it came out in the theater it was such a short run we didn't make it.

I agree it was SO WELL DONE. I cried at...well you know the 2 parts I am talking about. It was GREAT!

Maybe this movie is totally a chick flick, and I could invite some gal pals over to watch it. You think?

I would want you to interview me, but I fear you know the answers to all of the questions before you even ask, and I also fear I will go on....and on.....

but yes....I'll say it out loud, because it's what I want..

Interview me!

Wasn't I brave?!

So silly, so silly....

Loved the interview.

Thanks for the review on the movie. I read the book a long time ago. I liked it so much I was concerned the movie would ruin it.

I think I already asked someone to do this for me---but I sure liked reading your answers. I also like that I know you well enough to have guessed correctly at a few of these before I read the answers!

I'm still smiling at all the men in a snow cave while the ladies are hanging at the warm movie theater watching a chick flick :)

I will have to try your escape some day, I only fear my kids will make more noise when they all can't agree on the same movie!!! I too wish I would have had a bit more fun in college!

Since I am in a serious blogging rut, I will take on the interview with open arms!(I think??)
