Odds & Ends

Today is the last day of school for us. Hallelujah! No more waking up to the nasty alarm. I always look so forward to summer, the time when life slows down for just a minute...and then is over in a blink of an eye. The time when you have zero plans, just winging it as you go. And then you discover you've over planned everything and there are suddenly no weekends left to do anything you wanted. Ahhh....summmer. Here we come!

Volleyball is over for the season. Alyssa had such a great time with it this year.

I have NO clue why this picture won't turn. So annoying, but a fun group of girls anyway.

Carter, Powell Smith (Jed Manwaring's grandson), and Jaden
Last day of soccer is Saturday and then we begin T-ball. The girls are going to start tennis with Daddy and Alyssa wants to try her hand at golf. Halle is continuing with the gymnastics/cheer program. Lots of fun things to do for us.

Nothing like sitting in a ring of fire to enjoy your popsicles.

The other night I couldn't find Kate anywhere. Just when I was starting to panic, I found her sound asleep, squished in between her big sisters in the twin bed. WHY did we give them each their own rooms again? (And no...there are no sheets on that matresss...don't judge me.)

And finally, a big ol' smooch from Halle. This kid cracks me up. I find more funny face pictures of her on my camera than of anyone else. She loves to take photos of herself.

Now....BRING on SUMMER!!!! WAHOOO!!!!

I'm SO READY for summer! Love the pics of your kids....as always! No judgement for no sheet....just laughs. And thanks for the affirmation that maybe I'm not so crazy for putting my girls in the same room:-)

Madalyn is always sneaking into Katie's bed. Sneaking being the operative word. Because otherwise Katie would kick her out.

The girls have been out for two weeks. And I am so ready for August :-)

There are many nights Ryan can't find me, either, and I've fallen asleep with Tanner, or he woke up in the middle of the night and I went in to comfort him and fall asleep on his floor.

I, too, always had sisters crawling in bed with me...it's no fun to have your own room!

LOL! at the 'no sheets'. LOVE IT!

Here's to a busy summer! I love all of the little pictures Halle's always taking of herself. What a beautiful girl. And boy, your kids are turning in to quite the athletes.

Yay summer!

Summer's my least favorite season, but it's been so cold and wet all Winter and Spring long, that I'm welcoming loooong warm days and summer evenings out on the porch. I don't even mind yard work this year!

Love the pics, Elena. :-)

Love the ring of fire! And I remember that 'aaahh' feeling when school was out. Halle's eyes sure are pretty in that last picture. Don't know about that kiss though, ha.

Yay for SUMMER!! Wahoo! I love the ring of fire-- so hilarious! And I love that little smoocher of yours. Is it bad that I cross my fingers that she and Thomas can date someday? He might be a little nerdy for her, though.

Hopefully I'll get to see you at least once this busy summer!

Well enjoy your summer. I loved the handy place for eating Popsicle.

Callie said that maybe the robbers took your sheets and you should call the police.

Now sleep in, but a word of advise take the phone off the hook. Grandma Ruby doesn't like people to sleep in. LOL

Wow you are going to be a busy girl this summer. But having family around is great. I miss my kids so much when they are at school....

That is the cutest picture of your little one in the bed with her sisters! I can just picture you looking for her and then finding that sweet sight!

Summer looks like it is going to be a bundle of energy and fun around your house!! Enjoy!!
