Digiscoping

For Father's Day (yes it's still 3 weeks away) Jarom bought himself (and yes, he's a bugger) a telescope. Well, technically I think it's a monoscope, but that's neither here nor there.

We have been having such fun looking at things and trying our hand at "digiscoping". That's where you take a picture with your regular camera through the telescope's lens. It's really quite fun. We don't have the little piece that actually holds the camera to the lens yet, so our first try was a little tough.

Getting set up.

The view the camera could get without the aid of the scope.

Oh, that's a lovely shot of the inside of the scope.

Hmmmm....not quite there.

Ahhhh....that's more like it. It was a perfect half moon night. Carter said it looked like the letter "D". Can't wait to see what we can get when our little camera holder gets here.

That is amazing! I didn't know things like that existed for regular cameras. I hope you post more of these pictures!

Awesome. Richard got a telescope one year too. The boys love it. Haven't tried taking pictures through it though. Hmmm... might have to see about that.

That is a FUN toy. I want to see more!

Oh....and yes, it was 4 batches, and it was your delicious recipe. I LOVE milk chocolate chips. I snagged another recipe from another lady. I'll try hers next, and she gave it VERY willingly. You're right about recipe people.

Oh so cool. I want one, too. You need to email me with all the info on where you got it and how much and all that jazz. I would love a camera attachment for Katie's microscope, too!

That is pretty neat... now is he going to be sad when father's day comes or are you going to have to get him something else....

So it hooks to your camera? How neat!

sooooo cool....and kind nerdy :)!

I can't believe you gave that to him A. when it's still not Father's Day and B. when he snooped around and figured out you got it for him beforehand.

That's pretty weak Elena ;).
