A Nice Day For a Bike Ride

About two weeks ago, we experienced a beautiful day. I thought spring was on its way, so I took Carter's training wheels off. The very next day brought a blast of Old Man Winter and he stuck around until today. Carter has had zero bike riding practice. So I thought today would be a nice day to try again. (Last time he got very frustrated and gave up.)
Today, he just took off like he's been riding all winter long. So cute to watch. He absolutely loves it!

We did have a couple of disasters. First my beloved Crocs broke. I've only had them for a little over a month. ARgggghhhh...

And second, the Big Wheel met its demise when Kate and the neighbor boy crashed. Luckily no one was hurt.

But all things considered, it was a very good day.

Take the good with the bad. Sorry about your Crocs. Nothing makes me happier than those milestones, like riding a bike! So cute!! Before you know it he'll be loosing teeth left and right and goiing to school all day long!

We're enjoying the great weather today too! Hope it sticks around.

Tomorrow will be even prettier; and then the storms come again! Bleh.

Hey, at least it's not more snow! (You don't have to shovel rain) Looks like you guys had a fabulous time. Soak up that sun! :-)

My girls have so many Mary Jane crocs with broken straps. But ours are due to evil kitties chewing on them. I wish they sold replacement straps!

Good way to enjoy the weather. Kayson told me the other day that i needed to buy him a new bike 'cuz he wanted a 'two wheeler'. I laughed and then explained that he had a two wheeler, we just needed to take off the training wheels. Now he won't let the idea rest. He wants those things off!! Good for Carter, maybe I'll have to give in and take Kayson's off.

I actually thought of your broken crock (what's it called?) whilst in Wal*Mart the other day. I was upset for you...for a second or two anyway...
