My body is a temple.

Yesterday while shopping at Target, Carter told me that his tummy was hurting. (I think he was just hungry.) So then he said, "I think my temple is trying to come out."

Me- "What?"

Carter- "You know...my temple. My teacher says there is a temple in our bodies."

I think I laughed so hard the entire store heard me.

You will often hear an LDS person say, "Our bodies are temples." Which simply means, we should treat them with honor and respect, the way we treat our actual temple buildings. So funny how kids take things literally.

And on a different note, T-I-T will be Thursday this week. I've got a Rachel Ray meal that I'm going to try tonight.

Poor kid was probably thinking this huge temple was trying to work it's way out! That would hurt!

I always get convicted when I read 1 Corinthians 6:19..."Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you..."

Because I don't take care of this temple. I am not my own. I am God's. I need to give Him proper respect.

OK, didn't mean to preach to myself here. Your kids are adorable...and I love that Carter said this!

I can't stop laughing about how cute this is! In my mind I am imagining not-so-pretty things as temples are being delivered like babies...OUCH!! Anyway, thanks for the laugh today!
