Easter Favorites

There are two things that I absolutely CAN NOT resist come Easter time.

These

and these.
Oh my laws....I could eat them for breakfast lunch and dinner. I buy a package for Easter baskets and hide a package in my closet for "mommy emergencies". (Top shelf in the grocery bags honey. I'm willing to share one or two.)

Now I know Cadburry eggs have started to come out at different seasons recently, but I refuse to buy any until Easter. Just seems to make them all the more special to me. I am also aware that I can get Reese's peanut butter cups all year round. However, the eggs are the VERY best version of this candy. (The full size ones.) The ratio of chocolate to peanut butter is perfect and you can guarantee I'll eat at least 6 every Easter season.

Do you have an irresistible seasonal candy?

And I have to write this funny from Kate down. Yesterday she found a map from Disneyland in the car. She also found the Jehovah's Witness pamphlet that was left on the front door. It had a picture of Christ on the front and she carried it around for quite a while talking about Jesus. Then she said, "Mom, is Jesus at home in Disneywand?" Oh dear....apparently we need some lessons at this house.

Oh I soo know what you are talking about. I have to have BOTH of these as well. I introduced Russ to the Reese's eggs the year we got engaged....he is addicted worse than me now! We figured out why they are better than regular Reese's. It is because the peanut butter is thicker and fresher. I mean they don't make them year round, so you know they haven't been sitting forever to be shipped. Man....I gotta go buy some more Reese's eggs. We haven't had ANY this year. happy munching!

Lenes!! I have both these yummy indulgences in my pantry right now! Top shelf hidden in a grocery bag. LOL! We must be related. I was so upset when I went to Target to buy Cadbury Eggs at $1.88 and they were sold out! I even have a coupon for buy 3 get 1 free. Guess I'm off to Wal-mart to add match. You may be saying: Do we really need 4 bags of Cadbury eggs? Answer: Yes! If you expect me to share! Why else did I go to the gym today? LOL!
P.S. I just posted my Stress and Relief pictures today for you on my blog. Thanks again for the timely phone call yesterday. :)

Not being a chocolate lover, I can get my beloved Hot Tamales year round...

And when Jonah told me he was going to call God, I told him that he should go right ahead.

The eggs! Oh the eggs! I have been holding off, but decided I would buy them yesterday at Target. Then Sarah had a melt down and I could not find them! And I know you won't like this, but I hear they have them in dark chocolate now! Oh how I need them. But my waist does not. Maybe someone at Target was actually doing me a favor by hiding them.

And the Reeses! I've been eating one a day at work the last couple of weeks. They are truly heavenly!

Cute Kateism! I think I should turn you in to someone for not teaching your kids right :-)

having an affinity for reeses peanut butter eggs must be a genetic thing because that is all quin has talked about lately. Every easter he tells me how they are the very best version the reeses peanut butter cups!

LOL about Kate.
I have to say the original Cadbury Creme Eggs are MY FAVS!! *drool* Seriously, SOOOOOO yummy!! (But I have been known to buy them at different times of year.)
I'll have to ask, but my mom found GIANT Reeses Eggs for Easter. They're like 6 times the size of the regular ones you love so much.... :)

Kate craks me up!!! LOL!

Cadbury mini eggs...the best....so good we remove all important documents from the fire-safe to make room for bags of mini eggs. Ryan and I will hid bags in random places...the underwear drawer, under the bathroom sink, in the top of the closet, in the garage with winter clothes, stuffed in snowboots or under the bed. I bet if we pulled em all out we'd have a dozen bags at our house...but EVERY time we go to the store we buy a bag, even with 12 at home...Must. Not. Run. Out!!! And the Christmas ones just don't taste as good! :)

and the reeses are SO yummy.

i'm salivating profusely. :)

You only eat six of those reeses eggs? I eat that many and I don't even love them that much! And we get our Cadberry Mini eggs from the Poulsen's . . . she's not kidding when she said they're hidden all over their house. Talk about the best egg hunt ever ;-D

Kade totally agrees with you on the chocolate/peanut butter ratio of a Reeses easter egg. So needless to say, those are always in our baskets too. Ours have been in my closet for over a week and I'll tell you it has taken some major will power to stay out of them:)

I don't get that excited over Easter candy---but I MUST have a chocolate Dan Cake at Christmas. LIke a giant chocolate ho-ho....and I eat the WHOLE CAKE MYSELF :). Mmmmm....!!!

but I"ll admit you do make a good point about those P.B. eggs. If only they were DARK chocolate!

Lee Ann said...

I found the dark chocolate cadbury eggs! (I know this does not excite you, but it did me) and had to go to THREE different stores. I told that to the lone checker at Freddies late last night and she said they are VERY hard to find. And guess what "sister", I should have stuck with the milk chocolate. I love dark choc but these just aren't that good. And...I bought two bags because they're "so hard to find". I still love the crunch/texture of the shell, but next year I'm sticking with the milk.

Those must be rather popular, because they are my absolute favorites as well!! I can eat mass quantaties! It can be a little scary. I have not bought any this year yet,I am trying to be disciplined, but I can only last so long! It is Friday, and my resolve is 99% gone:) I was going to ask you, How old is your daughter that plays volleyball? Mine is ten, I was just wondering if they were going to play against each other! Have fun indulging the sweet tooth! And don't feel too guilty, it is like girl scout cookies, you gotta get them while you can!
