Bits About Me

Okay, it's time for me to fulfill all the tags I've gotten lately. I'm going to combine them all into one giant thing and give you all some more bits about me.

1. I love to talk on the phone. I have loved it since I was a little girl. It just makes the house work go by so much more quickly. (So, if you ever need a chat, give me a ring. I'm up for it...always.)

2. I think my most favorite thing to do, besides eat, is laugh. I really love to laugh. And sometimes at night when I'm almost asleep, my belly tightens up and I get that tickley feeling and I just have to giggle...at absolutely nothing. It used to drive my poor roommate in college nuts. Sorry Jennie.

3. When I was a senior in highschool, I wore a retainer. I was eating a piece of chocolate and kind of sucked on the retainer to clean it off (sorry I know that's sort of gross). The retainer slipped to the back of my throat and speared me. The back wire somehow hooked itself through the flap of skin in front of my tonsil. I had to go to the emergency room to get it out. AND I had to have a tetanus shot. It was so embarrassing. Now I know what the poor fish feel like when they get hooked. (Yes, feel free to laugh at me.)

4. Oh good heavens...I think you all know just about everything there is to know about me. I honestly can't think of any more.

I know this really doesn't fulfill any of the tags you all gave me, but it's gonna have to work cause my brain has stopped working.

You were caught like a fish, with your retainer??? That is the weirdest and funniest thing I think I have ever heard!!! So were the Docs taking pictures for their weirdest emergency book??? Do not think that they do not have one, cause I got one from Barnes & Noble and laughed my head off at what people have experienced. All the time thinking that I was so glad that it was not me.....

Thanks for sharing those things about you....I think I was one of the many that tagged you, so thanks for playing along.

I don't remember any picture taking. Oh, I sure hope I'm not in a book somewhere. I take my daughter to the same ortho and he still remembers the story. He's sure to dull the ends of his wires now.

wow! i think that i gagged just a little while reading out your retainer...my gosh that is pretty icky!
and sorry to tell: i'm not much of a phone person---i can talk and enjoy talking to my friends but my wekness and one that i have to be extremely concious about is the fact that i subconciously have to be the one talking---i have to work really hard at being a good listener (the subject of much prayer for me...)

Sorry about the fish hook experience! That sounds painful! I love that you are a talk on the phone kind of girl! Both my sisters live out of town, so we chat a lot. We use a headset, so I look like a telemarketer, but you cannot believe what you can get done on the phone, when you have two hands availiable. Our favorite one (and we have been through a lot of them!) are the GE brand at Target for like $12.00. The best $12 I ever spent! Try it a couple times you will be hooked!!! Except, I do get really STRANGE looks from the neighborhood kids that come over to play:)

Love the retainer story. You are brave and wonderful all at the same time to share that with us! LOL

I'm going shopping for a headset now. My record for talking on one phone call was 4 hours, 45 minutes! (wow) It was with my sister, so that makes it okay.

Have a great weekend. Thanks for the fun post.

I am not a phone person at all. However, I feel compelled to be on the phone when I am in my car. Driving. Or what I am usually doing - waiting for the kids at some activity. Then I like to talk...

I'm with ya on the laughing thing, but I HATE being on the phone!

lol....HEY! Your commenters and you are so much fun. I haven't stopped to read anyone else's comments in a while, and what a fun group of ladies. Anyway....Oh something is in the air, because your posts are just so you lately. I swear, if people were imagining talking to you through these posts, they would be getting the real deal, and it's great.

How did I not know about this retainer story? Oooohohhhooo. That's a fun embarrassing story. Did I tell you the one about me being a Junior in high school at the water park, and I had ripped a hole in my seat of my bathing suit going down the slides? Oooh, that was embarrassing. Even more embarrassing was when the cute lifeguard told me, without telling me. All he had to do was blow his whistle and give me the "come here" index finger. I did a mermaid dive toward him, surfaced, adn said, "yeah?" He said, "uhhhh" and pointed down toward my rear. I JUST KNEW. My mouth dropped, my hands covered, ugh. I wore shorts the rest of the day.

Don't tell me this is the second or third time you've heard this story.....it's like it happened yesterday....and I do think I've told you before....but it's "fun" to reminisce.

Elena, the more I know about you, the more I love you! :) I LOVE that you giggle at night for no apparent reason! I too love to laugh, but it's pretty rare that I laugh for no reason at all! You should have abs of steel! Right? :)
