The Birthday Recap

My kids have been so excited about giving Daddy their presents. It's been so cute to watch them prepare and keep their secrets. This is the first year that they've really been "into" having their own gift ideas.

Carter came up with the "perfect idea" to give Daddy his very own lightsaber so they could play together. How does a mom say no to that? So adorable. (And just look how excited Daddy was to receive it. That made a little boy's day.)

The girls have been fervently working on the most precious teddy bear ever. 100% hand crafted and sewn by Alyssa and Halle. Is that not a treasure forever?

And here is a picture of that delicious Red Velvet Cake with the artery clogging frosting that melts in your mouth. (I'll add this to my T-I-T post.)

Honey, when did we get so old? But you still got it.

Boy, you are fast. I just barely got my kids in bed and you've already posted the night. What a great party, but isn't it always a party with The Office? And hey, great picture of the cake!!

Elena, those photos are so dear. The bear... the look on your hubby's face as he gets his very own lightsaber. What a sweet family and a blessed life you have.

Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday. I appreciated your ideas and your comments! :-)

I LOVE the birthday presents. And how special that they thought of it themselves! And, excuse me, but 33 is NOT old. Cause if it was...what am I at 38??

How sweet!! Priceless! Looks like our hubbies like the same cake for their birthday ... we have to wait until February to have it again - unless I made it "just cause" - there's an idea :)HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEROM!

I don't even like Red Velvet, but your cake looks AMAZING! Way to go!! That light saber picture is so sweet-- Carter is darling. And that bear... it is the cutest thing I've ever seen! I hope my kids get into the gift-giving thing someday-- and I hope that they're as thoughtful and creative as yours!

that is really cute! it just makes a mom's heart sing when their kids are really into gift giving--and understand the meaning of it. :)
boys have such a sense of the "why" they do things...my boys are just like that. they always know just "why" they want to do something....and wanting to make sure dad has his own lightsaber is one of the best reasons our there to get one...hmmmm--now i'm thinkin' that (even though i hate those things) ALL my boys will be getting lightsabers this year from mom (so that DAD and the boys can play together)

That bear was so adorable. I loved that it was all sewn by hand and with so much love. I can hardly wait to see the pictures of the duals.... I think that every man needs a toy.

That cake, it looked soooooo goood!!!

I love that your kids came up with their own presents (the bear is absolutely darling!) and I especially love how excited Jarom acted/was when he opened them. What a fun birthday!

Oh, I want a piece of your cake right now--I'd feel the same even if it weren't Fast Sunday morning! :)
