Did they walk out on their own?

You know how every house has a sock monster? Socks go into the wash and never come back out. Or socks get stuck under the bed and the monster eats them, never to be seen again.

Apparently our house not only has the sock monster, but the pants eater too. I know you will think I am kidding or exaggerating, but we are missing pants at our house. Seriously, HOW do you lose your pants???!!

It started with Jarom, ALL of his light colored khakis went missing right after his big trip to Boise. Of course we chalked it up to the idea that they must have been left in the hotel. But I have seen Jarom check out of a hotel and he is VERY thorough (to the point of OCD-ish) about checking in drawers, under beds, in closets, etc. for things we leave.

Well....now Alyssa's pants have mysteriously disappeared. Last week I noticed she wore the same pair of pants every day. I told her to bring up her laundry so I get her some clean clothes, she did and there were NO pants in it. I washed all the other bins of laundry and still no Alyssa pants. We've looked through Halle's drawers and laundry as well and it's no good. Alyssa's pants are missing. Maybe the pants have walked out on their own and taken a few pairs of socks with them so they won't be lonely. Is this the strangest thing ever?

Hmmm.... Can a pair of pants fit down the toilet if a toddler crams them in there? Hmmm... check your pipes!

oh wait a minute, remember that time your dog ate one of Jarom's socks and then pooped it out on your front sidewalk in Boise? Now that was sweet.... ;)

No matter how cautious you are about keeping the pair of socks together one always goes missing. I hate the sock monster!

i believe my boys socks get out of the sock drawer by themselves and hide in the garbage. they never even make it to the laundry.

You could come check our toilet - it's still clogged. As I recall, the last time we lost a pair of pants, they were at your house! (When you watched Tanner while we were having Taylor - I'm still laughing that he didn't get a diaper on and wet in them!)

I don't know - i'll check in the corners of our apartment, but so far, i haven't seen any body-less pants! Good luck!

Hmmmm....maybe he's teamed up with our jacket monster. In addition to socks, that's what is forever missing around here. Very strange indeed! Hope ya'al find some good sales on pants :)!

Your pants monster must have cousins. We just lost the tobasco sauce. How weird is that? One min. it's there the next magic! It disappeared.

By the way, check YOUR dresser. I have found weird stuff in mine after the kids to the laundry.

Fur- Yep, an entire tube sock. NAsty...

Emily- SO true, I hate him too.

Nichole- That's a very real possiblity. I don't think ours make it to the wash either.

Emily- Oh yes, the underwear monster frequents here as well.

Deanna- That is so funny. See! There is a pants monster here!

Jennifer- I'm beginning to think there is a full on wardrobe monster out there.

Julie- Yes, I'll check. I have found the girls tights in my drawer before. Hope you find the tobasco sauce.

Please don't send him our way. As far as I know we're only missing socks but still have all of our pants.

LOL! OH, I can't believe that not only are the pants missing, but they're missing from the two most organized people in the family!!!

How bewildering.....some socks, a little mysterious. But pants, that's just downright, "someone is eating the pants".

Um... is this uncommon? we lose things all the time pants shirts you name it my little Swedish girls take there clothes off and lose them all over the place. maybe I should be a little more concerned. they will show up eventually when they are a size to small.
