I Will Go, I Will Do

Tonight Alyssa was just being her silly self singing and running around. I heard her humming the tune to Nephi's Courage. The chorus should say, "I will go, I will do the thing the Lord commands. I know the Lord provides a way, He wants me to obey."
But she sang, "I will go, I will do, I don't know the words. But that's okay, I'll sing anyway, because I want to."

I just busted up laughing. It's so something I would do. I NEVER know the words to songs.

I do good with first verses, but soooo many of the primary songs have 55 verses now and they want the kids to learn ALL of them. To me, it kind of takes away from the meaning of the song--struggling to remember verse #16. "Tell me the Stories of Jesus" is the worst. That last verse is really horrid--"tell me in what?! of wonder?"--and it doesn't even rhyme!

Good for Alyssa to just sing how she's feeling :)!

That's hilarious! Totally something I would do, too! Actually, it reminds me most of my sister, mary. We're always laughing at her versions of the songs! And her kids are starting to do it now, too! Too cute!

I love it! That is a Walker thing to do- make up lyrics. Fabulous!

That's so cute! Don't worry, I can't remember the words either... I know this because I had to sit on the stand for the primary program right after being called... AND they were all new songs! Let's just say I sang with my hand over my mouth or my head down so that no one would notice that I didn't know the words!

Jenifer- I didn't even know there was a verse that had those words in it. Shows you how much I know. And yes, 2 MAYBE 3 versus is ENOUGH for the little kiddos.

Mom- Can you just hear her doing it?

Camille- It's fun to hear your kids (nieces and nephews) doing silly things that you used to do.

Julie- Glad we're not alone in the make-up-words world.

Emily- That was hilarious. I can just picture you up there hiding your head. :)
