A funny from Alyssa

Here's a silly from Alyssa. Last night she was doing her reading and asked me what a "bouty" was. I asked her to repeat the word because I didn't have a clue what she was talking about. So she said it again and then spelled it, "b-o-w-t-i-e". I told her it was bow-tie, not bouty. We had a good chuckle. Isn't it funny when your brain makes something so much harder than it really is?

I was reading this entry to Zane and Ethan and when I spelled bowtie, they both said it was bouty too, then Zane guessed booty. I tell you--teaching kids how to spell in the English language is the most frustrating thing in the world (or is that whirlled?).

We are relatives. Hi I was randomly looking through a friends blog and saw your blog. I recently married Jared Manwaring and thought I'd check out your site. Then I saw the pictures of you with Jarom's family in Idaho and...sure enough...we're related. Jared's father is Kipp Manwaring, who (I think) must be Jarom's uncle. Anyway, so then I thought I better say hello!

Hi Kelli-It's always fun to have a comment from a relative. I've seen you several times at FHE and reunions, just never talked to you. (Pathetic, I know.) This family is so large it's hard to know all the new comers. Glad you said hi. Next time we see each other, we'll actually have to talk. :)

You are smart to ask her more questions...I would have just told her what a "booty" was.
