Random Happenings

Just thought I would fill you all in on our happenings this past week. Nothing too exciting. It's the first full week of summer break, so the kids and I have been "summer" cleaning. Now, I don't want you all to get too over worked, but...drum roll please....we cleaned the basement!! I know, one small step for man, one giant leap for Elena. (For those of you who haven't witnessed the abyss of my basement, you'll probably never understand. But for those of you who have seen and unfortunately been in the mass mess of toys and garbage, you'll be glad to know you can now see the concrete floor and toys are in appropriate boxes. I even threw away and gave away a bunch of stuff. Another shock of the nation.)

Carter went to the hair dresser, my sister, and even she couldn't fix his amazing do! She said I should just buzz it, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. (I figure it'll all be grown out in a week or two anyway. He can just wear a hat until then.) My mother-in-law said he looked like he had ring worm or something. LOL! He reminds me of my mom's cat Taj, when he lost all his hair from some parasite, probably was ring worm. :)

We've been to Reed's Dairy, BEST ice cream on the planet, for our first ice cream cones of the season. We also made our first trip to the zoo. (Love that I have a membership pass, and only live 5 minutes away!) And we went to the drive-in last night to watch Shrek the Third. So, all in all, I think we have hit summer off at a running pace. It's been a good week.

Carter's hair is the best! At least he's a boy... When we come to IF next, take us to that ice cream place! That looks yummy...:)

Hooray for summer! I love that you did something summery (we went swimming... no pictures). And Carter's hair (or lack thereof) is too funny!

I love Reeds Dairy! I need to be sure to stop there during my next visit to Idaho Falls.
